Kings Head, Bradwell

We were trying to sail in from the Spitway to Bradwell on Friday afternoon.
Someone said "there must be wind ahead, look at that smoke". We found out later that the smoke was the Kings Head. Great shame.

[It was sparked by a chip pan left unattended ahead of evening service, when the pub's owners "went up to watch the golf".
No-one was injured in the fire, which started at about 17:30 BST on Friday.
The cause of the blaze was originally thought to be suspicious.
Divisional officer Lee Lucas, who headed the investigation, said there were lessons to be learned.]

Where did he find that hymn sheet

The Cricketers about half a mile further along the road to St Peters on the wall should be reopening soon after it's refurb if that helps ?

Many happy memories of lock-ins at the Cricketers. But the landlord shouted at me once for playing pool after hours, said it was taking the pi55; he was right, I was crap at pool.
