Can Parking wardens photograph your car if they haven't had time to put the ticket on the screen? I was parked in Wandsworth today and got back to the car before the warden had issued the ticket. As I got into it he took a photo of the tax disc and the reg plate. Mind you I dont think he got the disc because as I drove away the car hit his hand! Gave me the right 'ump, I should have run the twat over.

I have taken my tax disk of the windscreen, if the DVLA are so cleaver now and they dont need to know where you hide your car, then they dont need me to show my tax disk, so some druggie can nick it to sell in a pub..

Yep. and because they can't process it as quickly, the notification will turn up after the discount period, so you will have to pay the full rate, not the discount rate.

I have been here but just looking, now spring is here my typing fingers are happy... 4 days on the boat, and no plans yet would be good to meet up, just want to get out, what are you up to after you move the boat to Hyth?

Oh, I dunno, driving back to Christchurch to rescue the car, then I figured we'd go in and out of the lock a lot, probably around low water, just because we can. Then we'll go off somewhere, meet some folks and drink too much. I'll give you reasonable odds we all end up in bloody East Cowes at some point, though...

We thought east cowes, if we get the tender fitted by then we will go down to Alun Bay for one of the days? OV is also a possibility? Yarmouth will probably be mobbed..

Know how you feel,

Missed the bridge opening last week at our marina so delayed half and hour getting back, swine got me 11 minutes over time on the quay.

£60 thank you very much.

They already have three controllers working the quayside and are getting another two, yet the carpark opposite at the bus terminal is nearly half empty most of the time.

Is it me or are parking controllers dressing more like SS or Gastapo, our lot have more gear hanging off their utility belts than the SAS!.

Next it will be Uzi sub machine guns to deal with difficult motorists.

hm, well they never sent me a ticket. Will that be because I nearly drove over the traffic warden, or because of the number plates being from a Renault found at a breakers in Paris, dya think?

I heard a rumour that Traffic Wardens get paid a commission and have contractual targets to meet.

Can anyone confirm this?

It would be a good challenge in court to try to prove this as a conflict of interest. If you won, every parking ticket would have to be refunded!!
get hold of a copy of a contract of employment.

Ask them, not me. I said I didn't know. I do know that the contracting companies have to pay penalties if they don't issue sufficient tickets - this will vary by council and by contract, so no overall overview available

Well seeing as LB Wandsworth have had one of the lowest poll tax rates for eons, I'm shafted whichever way you look at it!
