Kim would you explain

Kim is the keeper of the forums and a fine job he does too. (ahem, politely put etc.. as not to get yellow card).

If you mention insurance, advertise or say that motor boats smell then your post will be exterminated. (old dalek term).

In this case though, I must say, Kim did the right thing by taking it out and others I'm sure will agree.

Behind the bike sheds was mentioned because that is where we old uns went as skool kids when something naughty was going on..

I must confess to having had a thread pulled when in a mad moment I asked about insurance - There was a game for a while to see how quickly Kim would pull a post - 'cause we all get a bit impish..oops sorry..

I think one of my recent posts was also Kimmerised, I have no problem with this if it caused any offence even though none was intended. It again was nothing to do with boats, as was this post, so we have no reason at all to be upset.

To clarify

It's not 'insurance' per se (there, I said it) but not if the specific insurance subject is provoking an unhealthy (as in vultures circling) interest from those who earn a tidy sum from the passing of much paperwork between offices titled with three-barrelled names.

You can say that motorboats smell if you like...as long as you are careful with your metaphors.

As for advertisers...well we accommodate those too, as long as they pay lots of money (officially), or exercise the option of lubricating my Cayman Islands account (unofficially). At the moment I'm assured by my bankers that it is difficult for them to profitably maintain services on the basis of a 57p balance, even if they are pretty chilled out, so techniques for allowing unofficial gratuitous commercialism without it getting noticed (a fascinating conundrum in itself) must improve methinks.

But David, I was the first to respond to your post at 0630 this morning, and I don't see how you can accuse others of writing verbal diaohrea (I can't spell it either) because that is exactly what you did with your post! And I am a motor boater and did see it as a personal "attack" as you put it.

Robin if I was being personal surely I would have named you, I believe what you really mean is a general attack, now if you saw the post I made you would of noticed the emoticon /forums/images/icons/smile.gif there is no way I was attacking anyone. What don't you understand about /forums/images/icons/smile.gif? As for generally attacking Mobo's I used to be one.....then I attained a sence of humour and common sense and bought a sail boat... touché...

PS... Are you the same Robin that loves feeding seagulls?

..make it a condition of being allowed to post here after making a complaint about stinkie/raggie issues, that they go on the next forum meet on a mixed raggie/stinky crew. Seems to have worked well on most of the crews that have met up so far.

Amusing idea, but has possibilities

I'd even volunteer to take the Lymington lane marking posters on my little stinkie, to show them what it's like taking a stinkie in and out of there what it's like from our perspective? or the Hamble which I know well and was also commented on.

Though this probably isn't the best time of year to show the issues well.
