Kim,

Why don't you give access to the online reports to those of us that subscribe to mby or mbm?

Would add value to the whole subscription idea and no doubt encourage many others to sign up.

Shaun

yada yada..

We don't currently hold the articles in electronic format such that we could easily open up a whole archive although that is something we are currently looking into. There are a whole bunch of reasons why it's not particularly straightforward but that won't necessarily stop it happening.

What we then do with the material is another thing.

As a separate issue we have also been looking at whether we can make some areas of the magazine sites that are exclusive for subscribers. Outside of the archive idea are there any other things that subscribers or would-be subscribers might like to see in such an area (keep it clean please)?

Can you put the index pages of the past issues online in a searchable format? Then I could search for past articles that I know I have read and then find them in my pile of back issues, for those who do not keep the magazines you could make them available as image files or PDF files for downloading

Excellent idea - I'm always searching through an ever increasing pile of mags looking for something I'm sure I've read.

Doesn't this facility exist at http://www.ybw-directory.com/reprints/search.jsp?

Re: Balvenie

You will be lucky! I have emailed Dominic twice to change the pic, but no reply.... Is he still there, maybe that's the problem?

Re: Balvenie

Hi Jim,

The balvenie picture competition was removed a couple of months ago. However, having just taken a look at the MBY website, I noticed that somehow the link to the old page has appeared in the nav bar. Not exactly sure how, but stranger things happen at sea!

I apologise if you feel that I've been ignorning your plea for a new picture, I sincerely do my utmost to reply to all emails promptly, but in this case I have no record of having received one from you. Thank you for raising the subject of the Balvenie competition and drawing my attention to the astray link.

Regards,

Dominic
