I watched the BBC 2 programme on the Antarctic Killer whales on 26/12/2024.

I do hope they don't have a chat with the Biscay Killer whales!

Interesting. Killer Whales kill anything they like. But when they attack humans on yachts, armchair huggers get all flustered when defensive action is required.

People don't shout about Lions and Hippos killing people as people know Lions and Hippos are dangerous, but Killer whales look cuddly and don't seen to kill people yet some types of sharks are killers if you swim with them.

People don't shout about Lions and Hippos killing people as people know Lions and Hippos are dangerous, but Killer whales look cuddly and don't seen to kill people yet some types of sharks are killers if you swim with them.

I must be odd because I have never ever had the urge to cuddle a killer whale.

They are not attacking humans on a yacht.
They are either attacking a yachts rudder or playing with it, we don’t know the answer to that yet.
But yeah, regardless of motovation, I have no problems with folk taking measures to discourage them. Killing them is a bit overkill for me though.
