I have just crewed aboard Flower Power at this years KIDS OUT annual event held on the south coast.
Detail thread

I know Full Circle attended this last year, and its partly that, and my forthcoming presidency at my home Rotary club that has decided me that I (we) should be able to do something like this based on the East Coast.
It was an excellent day out, extremely tiring for me as I drove to Chichester for 08.30 arrival /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I have never been able to get closely involved with kids with .....difficulties.....in the past.....this day seems to have changed me......

I expressed my wish, on the night, to have a similar event based on the East Coast during my year as president...July 2010-2011

I have been offered help and guidance from the Rotarians who have organised the event in Chichester for nearly 30 years....I hope we can mirror what they have done...
It WILL take a lot of organising......so a few helpers will be appreciated.....

Doug, as always, you can count on Louise and myself to support in any way we can. Not going to go into any detail but we know only too well how hard it can be to cope with children with 'problems'. My own daughter.

Doug, of course.
I have PM'ed you with the people who responded last year, I just ran out of time, so I am pleased you are in.

If I can, I'd be glad to help out. I'm not sure it's ever such a good idea to let me mix with children though. I tend to get carried away and turn in to one, then collectively get a telling off from the parents for playing up. haha.

We'll help. You'll need input on child protection - we have an RYA CPO at the sailing club so can give you some input if nec, We can probably help too with any CRB checking that's needed.

Hi,

We would like to lend a hand. Mrs R can help with any CRB stuff required and we have friend who is very experienced yachtswoman and special needs teacher.

Regards

Rob

P.S used to be in Rotoract and fun it was too.
