Needless to say I have no connection other than as a customer.

Last season after a very good experience at the boat show I decided on a new set from Kemp.

I have had a few teething issues probably not least down to a new model for them, but the test these days for me is the quality (or lack) of customer service. We all moan when it is poor, but it takes a lot to say something when it is good.

Well in Kemp's case they have proved really superb. They have dealt with all my questions efficiently and effectively, nothing has been too much trouble and they have proved an absolute delight to deal with - unfortunately all too unusual these days.

So in short I would recommend Kemp to anyone who is thinking of new sails.

I have several Kemp sails. First class in every respect.
I'm not so happy about my North Sail. The quality is fine but when I ordered it I wanted to check it was made in the UK. (Support local businesses.) Despite assurances by the salesman it has a label sewn in saying "Made in Singapore."

Our mainsail was from Kemp in 2011, they liaised with Z Spars up the road who were making us a new boom at the same time, ensuring that everything worked together perfectly. Very pleased indeed with the result.

I installed our new stack pack from Kemp yesterday. Not at all straightforward in my mind due to the heavy Vectran sail that we own. Liaison with them has been excellent, starting with email enquiries, going on to their proposed design and completed with face to face discussion at LIBS. Thoroughly professional approach from them and the kit is beautifully made.

All made in the UK I think.

Our Kemp laminate jib is about to start its 12th season of about 2000 miles and the main a year less. My only grouse is that Poole is a long way from home.

Same here: I have just fitted the new Kemp main to my Eolia 25 and it fits and sails superbly. Matt from Kemp rowed out to my boat himself to measure up; probably why it fits so well.

I'm a happy customer and will be back to get a quote from them for a r/r genoa in September at the Southampton boat show. /it'll be replacing the Kemp genoa that has been sailing well for a number of years.

And, of course, it is made in England :-)

Yes, had several sails from Rob. What I like best is they listen. Service is excellent and prices sensible - not something you can say about most marine companies!

3 years in i am still amazed at the quality of my kemp sails. They were not cheap but as i was told at the time they will last, they look like they have just been made.

+1 for Kemp Matt Atkins top bloke. Kemp have made 6 sails for me absolutely no problems very helpful during the spec process and prices always in line. Thoroughly recommended.
