Perhaps other places have overtaken this forum in both breath and quality of advice offered.

I think Facebook groups and other social media have replaced some of the quick questions and answers: potential respondents who use Facebook don’t need to open the forum and see if there is anything for them to contribute too they get it shoved in their face whenever they open Facebook and all forums have “suffered” as a result. Potentially as people mostly use their real name on Facebook it can also be “friendlier” but they seem to now allow anonymous posting which has brought all the trolls out.

This is a per group setting. I have no clue why people enable it.
