Sorry another question. On the Leisure I purchased there is a seam of sealant around the keels where they join the hull. Some of this seemed to be coming away. I peeled back a small portion of it. There is a recess where the keel bolts on. Its this recess that is filled with sealant. The existing sealant has been coated over with antifoul.

Would this recess have been filled with sealant from the factory? Does the sealant around the keels form the waterproof joint? Can I readily remove the sealant and re apply a new bead? Can I apply antifoul over the sealant?

I can see that there would be some flex when the boat takes the ground and is stood on its keels. I'd plan to use one of the proper polyurethane Sikaflex sealants designed for below the waterline.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
