Keel cooler anode wire

My moody 36 has a keel cooled fridge. The mounting plate for the cooler inside the hull is steel and is connected to the main hull anode. The ring terminal has snapped off the cable. The fastening bolt to the plate turned out to be copper. Any reason why using a steel replacement would be an issue? The ring terminal is copper.

Most if not all red/blue/yellow crimp connectors are tin plated copper, I would just use one of those.

Yep, it was the unusual copper bolt through the connector that puzzled me. I can’t see a reason for that when bolting to a steel plate on the cooler
