keel bolts and mast

Tranona interpreted correctly. I should have made it clear - I was referring to European yachts commission here in Australia. They arrive shrink wrapped on the back of a truck with the mast, strapped to the deck, within the shrink wrapping. The keel and rudders are under the aft of the hull section sitting on the trailer. The travel lift is used to lift and lower the hull onto the keel (hence Tranona's delay in launching). The mast goes in, or on, later.

Digressing - once the keel is on it seems quite sad to watch the below water line being sanded down to provide a key for the AF. We are not big into Coppercoat here.

Still needs abrading for Coppercoating - including the primer that is on the keel from the factory. Looks a mess when being done so best to not go near the boat until this nice glowing pinkish final coats are on!.

Possible in Malaysia indeed.
Anyway, had a detailed "look" with a fast spinning wire brush attachment to my power drill and found as some had rightfully suspected that under the surface rust and grime the bolts and nuts looked rather shiny.
So I will leave them alone :-)
