Hi all,
Upon lifting out of the water this autumn (after her first season in the water for quite a few years), I noticed damaged patches in a row along my keel. Obviously there's water ingress.

The boat is an S&S34, and the keel is bolted on from underneath via side-to-side apertures cast into the lead - see picture of another S&S34 here where these are visible - in the areas where the damage is apparent on my keel. The boat is over 50 years old - keel bolts were replaced c. 25 years ago.
I'm guessing that the appropriate course of action here is to drill/dig out the old filler, check the bolts / nuts, refill and fair over. Does that sound right? If anyone has any further thoughts I'd be glad to hear them! Any ideas as to the appropriate materials to use would also be welcome.
