Kas town harbour

The town harbour is a bit tight for space generally, but you can often squeeze in. We normally go over to the bay SE of the town..(cant remember the name, as all the books charts etc are on the boat just now) the position is 36 10 22 N 29 38 58 E . There is a very good restaurant there which has a solid pontoon/jetty with water and electricity..freely available if you use the restaurant, good value for money .
The beach beside it is shallow and excellent for swimming..they have a raft in the middle. You can take the dink over to Kas or there is a regular ferry. As you will already know, Kas is a really pleasant town, well worth a couple of days stay. I don't know anything about the Marina,I believe it is a short walk over the hill from the town.

Might see you there next June?

Marina is excellent. We were there last year. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk into the town, or taxis available at the marina entrance. We saw some yachts in the harbour, but it is tight - we were in there about 4 years ago before the marina opened. The bay to the south east is (I think) called Bayindar Limani, (we call it borgonvillea bay!). It is sheltered and lovely. Anchor in 6-10 metres. We really enjoy that coast.

There's no suggestion of a requirement to use the marina rather than town harbour. We were there early last June and they were only too keen to take our lines.
Like Kalkan, the harbour is narrow so rodes from boats on one side routinely cross those from boats on the other. Some berths have lazy lines, some not, but it obviously if available they are preferred to using your own gear.

jamesmar: Kastellorizon is much more easily spelt 'Meis', which is what it is to the Turks ;)

You say tomaytoes,.I say tomatoes.... Sine when did the Greeks ever have only one name for a place!!!?:encouragement:
