Kas Harbour

Hi All, has anyone been to Kas harbour recently, not the marina. I was last there 7 years and I want to stay in the harbour. Any info greatly appreciated.

I was just there last week. It's a very beautiful setting that is a real mess for Med mooring. I would say that 1/2 the boats get their anchors fouled by other boats. My advice is to use a very short scope or be keep close in towards the quay bend where they have lazy lines. We had two boats grab out anchor chain which resulted in them pulling mine up and our boat then bumping back into the quay as we where gone. I was very upset with the staff. The cost is 1/2 what the marina charges and they do have power and water on the quay.

I'd stay there again but be much more aware of anchor placement, both mine and others.

I haven't used the old harbour, but is does look full of tourist, fishing and diving boats! Quite chaotic at times.
I have just moved to Kas Marina, who are offering 50% free until the end of the year. So stay 3 days and only pay for 2. You can always anchor opposite or adjacent for free.
