Hi, do you have a Borg Warner part number and decent supplier for the one needed for a KAMD300 ( EDC-1) engine at all? I did hear of a car company Midland Turbo that had done a few refurbs of my club members boats . Midland Turbo - Turbocharger Repairs, Upgrades - Shop online Now!Using my man-maths it’s worth paying £200 more for brand new Borg Warner one.
Do you have the part number & supplier of these please?I wouldn't bother, just replace them. They're £40 each and if they're not failing now, they soon will be.
Hi , re the " the RPM sensors at the same time. Buy Bosch ones from eBay for £40 a pop" do you have a link to these please? For a KAMD300.Some good advice above.
Turbos on the engines fail at around 15-17 years. OEM replacements from a Turbo shop are around (£750) or £2k+ from VP.
Send the injectors off for testing. They'll probably need new tips. Budget for £800-£1000 or so for two engines with labour (more if using a franchised VP dealer). Get the valve clearances checked at the same time.
Whilst the engineer is at the back of the engines, change the RPM sensors at the same time. Buy Bosch ones from eBay for £40 a pop.

Thanks have done and several makes, but Bosch I guess is the best quality ? It looks easy to change - does anyone have a schematic or photo where it is located on the engine please ? Thank youGoogle for "Bosch 3944124".
I believe this is the correct part...

Take a phoo of the label on your existing turbo and check that it's correct.
