Evening all,

I have recently bought a Sealine F36 and have flushed one of the engines with rydlyme. After doing so I then went to replace the pencil anodes (assuming there is more than one) thinking that the location would be detailed in the manual that came with the boat. Unfortunately the manual makes no reference to the pencil anodes so I am asking if anyone can either point me in the direction of a schematic/photo of where the pencil anodes are located and how many there are in an engine. A google search has resulted in no such help.

In my previous Yanmar I had to replace 3 each time so I have bought plenty to do the job this time round.

Thank you in anticipation.

KAD42 had pencil anodes.

KAD44 / KAMD44 does not, at least not in of the parts diagrams I have looked at.
You could double-check by looking at the oil cooler and the front end of the heat exchanger with the two hoses.

Hi
I'm not totally sure to be honest. Is it shafts or outdrives ?
From the TAMD61 I'm used to (older generation I realise) with shafts, they are in the reverse gear oil cooler.

Many thanks for the responses.

Flowerpower - where are you finding the details of the engine? I have googled it and cannot seem to get anywhere.

Qbouy- I'll have a look at the gearboxes. From memory the coolant does travel via the gearbox before the engine. The rydlyme was not run through this though but I'll still check it since I've not had them out and do not know when it was last done.

Oh well sonny Jim you'll just have to pass them to someone who can use them:encouragement:
