Ok guys, roughly how many hours to remove and replace the engine ?
Other than the engine bay lid there is not much in the way, no patio doors to get through.
Awning can be removed so good access above.

According to the vendor / Volvo its gota come out for the steering ram replacement.

Local yard her in the UK, not having seen the engine bay recon they may be able to lift it up and replace the rams.

New to this, the leg has to come off too if the engine is moved up / out ?

Tnx.

What boat

The leg coming off will be the least of your worries. Only took us about 30 mins (2 amateurs) to remove the drive. While you're at it you can replace bellows etc.....

I have replaced the cylinder in situ on one of these engines, its tight but can be done. The exhaust bend needs to come off then you have better access, but it will depend on what else is near it.

Aquador 26C / 26HT same boat

The calorifier and water tank next to it starboard. Fair gap between the water and engine, recon even I could slide down to the stern end.
Can one reach to the port side from there ?
Or access only needed from one in side ?

You will need to disconnect the steering cable(big nut) where it enters the cylinder and undo the two pivot bolts one on top and one under the cylinder, they don't need to screw comletely out. And access from the top to disconnect the end of the steering cable where it meets the steering arm( split pin and splint). There are the two hydraulic hoses which screw into the top of the the valve body on the cylinder and thats it.

Aqnuador has nigh on impossible engine bay, I've worked on a few , some service items are impossible to change , terrible designed boat for engineers.
