KAD44 supercharger

The supercharger on my port engine engages when I start up, it does not disengage when the engine is warm but it does disengage when I select drive ahead or astern.. Does anyone know if there are two temperature senders, one for the ECU and one for the temperature gauge as the gauge is working correctly.

Yes the ECU gets it reading from more sensors. Spare parts 8141474 is for air temp and 862154 is for coolant temp. You can go to this page: http://www.marinepartseurope.com/en/volvo-penta-spraengskitse-7738870-30-4955.aspx

... If boat has just been launched for the season check the connection to these sensors.

+1 checking the connectors, oil sensor on my KAD 44 ‘failed’ few months ago, cleaning the contacts fixed that.
