Had a great weekend but the compressor on one engine is not cutting in. Usually this operates in the rev band 1700-2300. Yes the belts are all OK. Any other checks you can suggest before I call Volvo?

Check the connections in the electrics box on top of the motor, there is a relay which contols the clutch on the compressor via the red and white wire. Check you have power to the relay and that it clicks at around 1700 rpm and then gives an earth to the compressor. If you have power it will probably be the relay, you can swap it with the other motor to double check.

Just a thought but was the ignition switch in the on position? If not this stops the superchargers from working.
