KAD44 / 300 EDC Temperature sensor fault 3.3

I'm trying to track down a problem with the temperature being fed to the EDC on one of our Kad44's. the analogue gauge on the dash is working correctly however we are getting a fault 3.3 from the EDC and the temperature being sent to our Yacht devices gateway is sat at 11 degrees for the starboard engine.

I believe there are 2 sensors on the EDC engines there looks to be one up by the thermostat housing but any idea which / where the EDC one is located?

IIRC, the position of all of the sensors is illustrated in the EDC manual and possibly the Owners Manual.

I suspect it's an off the shelf Bosch part which would be a lot cheaper than buying it from VP.

I saw a page with the sensors show but not there location, will try and pop down tomorrow and have a nosey don't suppose anyone knows the BOSCH part number equivalent?

so to update and close this it wasn't either of the water temperature senders that were causing the error it was this air temperature sensor which had come loose,

Whilst digging around I noticed the sensor turned so nipped it up with a spanner and touch wood I now have a temp reading on back on my raymarine display from the EDC and after clearing the error it has not come back.

I assume it was reading properly as it was leaking air pressure



i did order one of the BOSCH sensor for £20 so will keep that as a spare
