Speed sensor on the timing case, linked to the control box. The cut-in speed is not adjustable, as far as I know.

You are right. From the manual:
"The cut-in speed is preprogrammed into the electronic
box, except for “kickdown”, when the position
sender provides an impulse."

Absolutly correct, no adjustment for cut in as already mentioned, however it could be the gap needs to be checked on the position sender if this has been noted when moving to WOT quickly, please only do this gap check with the engine stationary!!
Easiest way to check cut in/out would be to open the throttle slowly, noting the cut in and out RPM's. Remember there is a small tolerance of 50RPM on the cut in/out speeds.
