As per title, can anyone recommend an online supplier to buy 20 / 25 l drum of suitable oil API GL5 SAE75W/140 for the DP-G drive for my KAD300?

On a side note, I notice that the older 290 duo-props use 75w/90 - what's the difference?

The second number refers to viscosity at higher temperatures, so 75W/140 theoretically gives better protection to the gears at high temps, though that's only one aspect of how oil protects the gears. Whether there is any material difference to the performance of 75W/140 to 75W/90 given the cold waters our drives operate in and the low hours of operation is, I would think debatable... but I'm not an expert!

Just find it odd that the older 290 dp takes 75w/90 but the dpg takes 75w/140.

I'm going to go with the manufacturer spec, but curious as to what the difference is!

Not just 290's but right up to the model before yours, the DPE, were specified to use 75W/90. Maybe 75w/140 wasn't available when DPE and older legs were new and the manuals were being written. Bit like engines. Mine specify VDS2 but you can now get VDS4.
