My surveyor (the boat is coded) has stated that he'd like to see the rubber water pick-up hose changed next time i'm changing the bellows (which will be happening this winter).

Is it a total mare of a job?

oh good luck! Replaced a pair once before but had the advantage that both engines were removed.
Thought I had better replace them when I had the chance.
Think you need 8' long arms fitted with ratchet spanner ends.

I'm going to have a look when i'm at the boat on the weekend. I'm lucky that I can easily get to side of the engine and I can look down at the intake pipe no problem, just can't remember if I can reach down.

Prob a 10 min job with the engines out!
