kad 32 water pump.....silly question?

greetings all.. am in the middle of refurbishing the seawater pump, impellor, seals, o,rings etc. having stripped the whole thing down, have been cleaning the belt dust etc, from the casting and where the VP green has flaked off, the thing is painted SKY BLUE !!!!!!! it is the original pump of 2001 vintage. does anyone know why??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, all I can say is that my 2001 KAD 32 water pumps are VP green and where the paint is coming off it is bare metal. But sky blue?? sorry can't answer that
