K100? Anyone used it? Does it do the trick?

So cleaned my diesel tank… not throughly enough… apparently really don’t want to waste another 40 litres of diesel due to stupidity and rushing!

K100… bonds water with fuel making it burn able apparently…. Has anyone used this? Is it good? Does it work?

If not my diesel collection man is loving me next week

About 90% alcohol, primarily butanol, which explains the smell. "Bonds" is kind of a funny way to put it. It does make it more soluable.

I presume you have a fuel/water separator of some type. If not, add one. If you think about it, they are mutually exclusive. You can either separate the water or you can try to burn through it, but not both. Pushing water and dirt through the injectors is not good, even dissolved. I'm not a fan of additives that promise to clean tanks; most don't, and it might be worse if they did.

You say you rushed. That means more water may have settled to the bottom. Pump it out with an oil change pump. Easy. If the tank is just plain dirty, that's another problem. K100 will not make dirty fuel clean. No additive will.

You didn't really tell us what the problem is. Dirt clogging the primary filter? Water repelling secondary filter clogging? Bugs?
