Just taken receipt of a 12v Propex Compact 1600 with original thermostat, power analysis box, exhaust ducting and 2 outlet grills.. Paid £50 on fleabay for it on the basis it wasn't working (flame failure test cutting off gas supply). Hooked it up for a test and it fires up straight away kicking out loads of heat..

A proper bargin is that and suspect it wasn't working in his garage due to low gas pressure or low voltage.

The unit itself looks in excellent condition and am now on the lookout for a stainless steel skin fitting and it'll then get fitted.

result:cool:

We fitted a sleeved up Eber outlet to suit the exhaust pipe and a seperate stainless inlet as the propex one looked ****e

couldn't agree more regarding the Propex skin fitting.. one question if I may, do you need to route the combustion inlet outside the boat too or is it ok to draw the air in from the cockpit with the canopy up? thanks

We decided to take the combustion inlet from outside the boat for safety and the internal inlet in the pizza oven berth to encourage airflow
Have you got the manual ?

I think I'll do the same regarding the combustion inlet.. I've downloaded the instructions manual from the web which has been of some use
