My 9 year old son and I took our first trip up river today without her in doors.
I was a little concerned on how we would get on through the lock etc but he did very well, in fact he was better with the ropes than me.
Mooring near Maidenhead railway bridge was a bit awkward as the bank is quite high for him to step on to. But we managed it eventually.
A spot of lunch and something to read, a ball game of catch and then a little kip made for a lovely afternoon.
Back to Bray by 5pm relaxed and pleased that I don't have to ask the Mrs to join us every time I want to take the boat out.
