Just one of those days ....

...that occasionally happens just when you think the season is well and truly over.
Brilliant day and took the boat up to Boulters for lunch at the Boulters Lock. Sat outside on the veranda in the sunshine and full roast pork sunday lunch was just the ticket. Had the river almost to ourselves, just a couple of small cruisers and, believe or not an EA Inspector Launch !
Left home at 10 and back just after 4 - doesn't get any better !

Spent the afternoon afloat today with nothing else on the river ,Did not catch anything though....Left the narrow boat behind and paddled from pangbourne to Goring....The gap looked magical in the winter sunshine .

Great day to be out though ,Treated to a up close and personal view of a Roe deer having a drink and the obligatory kingfisher on a branch ,Life don`t get much better than that Steve.

Nope - nary a one ! Spent the trip upriver half expecting it but all was well and return trip ditto.
