Just MY Luck

hi all
had a brilliant weekend with the boat, and also got in some serious fishing for a change !!! totally out fished by my 13yr old daughter AARHH taught her far to well !! But alas the weekend was marred when crossing the Mixen Shoals at about 12 knts BANG!! CLUNK! it would appear that some kind of submerged object hit the underside of the boat and then the outdrive!! i now have a steady whining noise from the outdrive, it is also going in and out of gear/drive along with a pronounced vibration and clunking between 1200 and 2000 revs oh and the inevitable chunks out of the prop, well at least i have had 5 trouble free trips prior !!!
I just LOVE boating

ps i was in 30ft of water so it wasnt the bottom !

Contacted your insurance company yet? Covered for underwater damage? By your description I'd get the boat out the water quick or you'll wreck the gearbox/drive. Bad luck, hope it all works out.

Sorry to hear your drive suffered.

We were out off Selsey on Sunday, I could not believe the amount of lobster pots tied to any thging that just floats, and Bognor rocks were like traeding through a minefield.
