Thought would give the crowded fleshpots of the Solent a miss this year and do a Maurice Griffiths - an un-rushed pottering about the East Coast Rivers.
Hamford Water( always nice)
Wrabness( again, always nice)
Ramsholt (good view of Milky Way and meteorites)
The Rocks (chased by seal, no really, it was a big one too)
Woodbridge (came to gentle stop at Troublesome Reach - bit early)
Shotley (met Mr and Mrs Bristolfashion)
Orford (nice castle and ice cream) Aldeburgh apparently full?
Ha’penny Pier (rammed and rafted out, white fenders now black fenders)

Moorings and berths a bit in short supply apart from Ramsholt so anchor and tender have never been used so much. Woodbridge pubs v busy but managed to get a table at Red lion for excellent steak and Timothy Taylor Landlord, hmmm)

Oh, if anyone finds a Zodiac inflatable oar, I now appear to be an oar short of a pair so to speak.

Great fortnight without going far!

Nice to hear you had a good time. (y)

Staycationing seems to be the 'in thing' this year.
In ten days of cruising in Brittany, saw two Brit, one Belgian, one Dutch and one German boat.
The usual places in the Morbihan (Belle Ile mainly) still packed to the rafters.
Were turned away in two ports.
