Fairline From 1989-1991! Amazed at the prices even then! A Targa 30 in 1989 was £69,943 inc VAT with AD31's! A Fairline 50 was £281,319 inc VAt with TAMD122D.

And as for Squeakers..in 1986 a Portofino 31 with AQ41's was £64,149 inc VAT and a 36 Repallo was £112,929 inc VAt with Twin TAMD 61c. By 1990 a Portofino31 with AQ41's was £85,514 inc VAT and a Martinique 36 with AQ41's was £117,548.

Aren't old Brochures great! You see it is worth tidying out the garage and opening sealed up boxes...

Cheers

PS, if you want specific models and engines just ask!

There were very few sold early on, most went for the much cheaper Targa 27 or the slightly dearer Targa 33. If you could find one I would say between £40-£45k.

There is one in France HERE for about £41k! Looks like Fairline hold their Value better than Squeakers! only 40% Depreciation (on list Vs asking) in 17 years.

Cheers

Thanks Paul,

I was wondering because I have a Spirit 3000 32' and without going to check the docs I think the original owner paid around £77k something for it in 91. It was up for £45k in 2005 when I bought it. So similar prices and maybe similar depreciation.

I have loads of old brochures too. It would be interesting to analyse how older boat have held their value or not as the case may be. I doubt if the Fairline 50 is currently worth anywhere near it's 1989 list price (maybe £150k now?) but the Targa 30 (do you mean 31?) is maybe worth close to it's original price
The Squeakers have certainly dropped in value

Sorry Jez,

You are right. The Targa 30 was the one with a small seperate offset berth and L shaped seating. It also had a walk through transom! Launched in January 1990...LOA was 34ft though!

later from 1992 renamed as 33 Targa, that is the most Fairline there is in Malta, we have about 12 of these running

That would make about £89k. They keep their price well - only about 20 to 25% depreciation in 15 years. There's a couple on the market (in the earlier T34 form)at £70k - £74k, suspect they are priced a little high.
