Just broken my Handy Duck

I have had a Handy Duck for years. I single hand and would really struggle without it. Can you still by them in 2019. They are not in this years F4 catalogue. They are not any good for buoys with pick up buoys/lines. Is there a device to easily pick up these single handed. Do the french use pick up buoys. In L'Aberwrach they have the best buoys I have seen. They have a big tall ring to clip onto. Some buoys have a shackle laid flat so you can not hook it. Falmouth have many of these.

Plenty on the interwebs:

Since we don't use mooring balls much, we have used ours only a few times, but it's been indispensable during those times. Some buoys have no pickup lines, are too massive to get anything around and yet not tall enough to reach from the bow. Clipping the handy duck on the crown works the first try.

The hard part was figuring out how to get the crown from donking into the bow when it was flat calm in the night :-P
