Is this the same storm/weather system that got postings here when it whacked the west end of Mallorca a couple of days ago?

I guess so.
According to the site I linked, it happened yesterday morning, with 60kts of sw wind blowing.
PS: various passengers injuried, but not too badly.

Wow, fantastic pics. There have been gales in Mallorca and Genoa but nothing much in between (in the Cote D'Azur) in last few days (there has been rain, but no wind). Seems strange, but illustrates how the Med is full of microclimates and local winds
