Im beginning to see a trend here..... dark evening after work, get to boat, trying to manage toolbox, bag, new products etc. Get alongside boat, lean over to undo cover......bang....clank......splash- oh sh*t what was that!!!

I have now nearly lost 2 mobile phones, have actually lost a wallet and last night the same again. I thought everything was done up, but again the dreaded splash still came. More frantic pocket tapping thinking it was my company phone or another wallet and the dread of telling by boss the story. Then I noticed a floating object moving away- the new teak shelf lovingly crafted for the loo!!!

Am I the only one to keep losing my possesions in this way? or is it just part of the joy of boat ownership?!!!! Id love to drain a marina and see what was at the bottom!!!

I was once waterskiing about a mile off shore in North Wales. I realised that I had forgotten to take my glasses off and thought, "never mind, I'll be OK"

Not so - fell off and lost my glasses. The insurance claim was quite funny.

Dropped all sorts of stuff overboard but luckily nothing of major value or of importance I too have often wondered what lies at the bottom of the marina.

After doing a few "pre- trailer launch jobs", another poster hearabouts left a tool bag on the swim platform.........
It wasn't there later.

What the hell were you doing ski-ing that far out anyway? Are you sure you have the correct lenses in them glasses of yours, bet you only thought you were 200 yds out.
We struggle ski-ing on W,mere when theres a hint of a wake, must be choppy as hell out there for ski-ing. (if theres one thing I hate its dropping your beer when you hit choppy water, sometimes you need two hands on the handle dont you)

Carefull...someone will get ideas- Drunk in charge of skis and skiing with only one hand on the handle, they must be able to legislate agasinst that?

anyway, Im sure you can get those hats with a drinking strawer to hold your beer!

one handed water skiing is easy enough (see my profile) but you can`t use the mobile at the same time. I don`t use the phone whilst driving though cos I keep spilling the coffee
