Had an email the other day............ When I had a warehouse in the UK I got commercial antifouling delivered to that address to comply with the rules. Just in case anyone is interested.

As you have purchased Jotun antifouling from us in the past we would be delighted to supply your antifouling requirements again this year.

As part of Jotun’s conditions of supply JOTUN COMMERCIAL ANTIFOULINGS are only available for application to commercial vessels but not yachts of any type and as such cannot be purchased online. If you meet the conditions please give Duncan or Eddy a call on 01285 862 132 with details of your vessel and we will be happy to quote you the very best trade prices.

Alternatively, the range of JOTUN LEISURE ANTIFOULINGS are available to purchase online. We have received some very positive feedback over the last year and we believe these products are the best available to leisure users of any brand. As an added bonus we are offering a 10% discount during March and FREE DELIVERY to most of the UK on these products.

Please enter the voucher code ******** when you place your order online at http://WWW.SMLMARINEPAINTS.CO.UK or mention this email if ordering by phone - 01285 862 132.

Ooops. didn;t know you had to be commercial to use jotun, been using it for my restoration and get it from sml paints. No mention that you can't buy it if your not commercial though or is that direct from Jotun only?

The Jotun range is very good but boy they hate anyone in the leisure market using it.
I used the Jotun Mare Nostrum antifoul last year and found it ok.
Not great but not bad, with similar results to Seajet round here.
However given its at least a third cheaper than Seajet, it makes it a pretty good deal.

As an aside the Jotun penguard HB epoxy primer is less than half the price of equiv leisure market epoxy primers and in my experience it does pretty much the same job.
I used it on my own boat last year and found it covered well and rolled easily and would certainly use it again especially as it was £50 for a 5l tin.
