Anyone know what constitutes proof of being a "professional" (if one wanted to buy Seaforce)??

Didn't someone say early in this thread that they got away with using their coding certificate as proof of being professional?
I fear they have cocked-up in the leisure market. No, it was proof that your boat was commercial.
Amusingly to me the name Mare Nostrum was Roman for 'our sea', the med, but isn't a nostrum a type of quack medicine known for being ineffective and sold by snake-oil pedlars? Jotun really are taking the pee.
Nitromors has been made so weak recently I don't use it in my work. I consequently use a stripper which is labelled 'for professional use only'. What this means to me is that I had to email a letterhead and business details, such as website. The supplier then had to send a paper form which I signed and they now have on file for when I reorder. They check this every time. I cant remember all the ins and outs of the form, it basically relinquishes them of any liability if I breath in the fumes, dab it on my skin or drink it. It is very strong stuff and certainly does the job. It is not for sale to the general public because it has an ingredient that is 'banned' by EU for public use (prob because they would kill themselves with it and then try to sue someone)?

Same question here, I have a VAT registered business, but isn't marine related. So if I order it through my company (that is VAT registered) and ask for it to be delivered to the company registered commercial address, it should be supplied? and I don't need a coded boat or a "Marine" business.

3 yrs ago i ordered a consignment for forumites to save the postage :encouragement:It worked for me last July. Didn't even have to give VAT registration as it is not my business, I just run the warehouse for a toy wholesaler / retailer.
