I started painting Cobblers in September but am waiting for suitable weather to apply the final, blemish and brushmark free, topcoat. I'm using boat paint from Premier Paints (single pack). What is the minimum temperature required and should I thin it?

this information should be on the manufacturers Product or Technical Data Sheet. If its not available on line request it from the manufacturer or supplier. Drying times and overcoating times vs temperature should also be given. also WFT and theoretical covering rate

Typically one would expect a minimum temperatures of around 5C to be specified for ambient, product and surface with a requirement the surface should be a specified minimum number of degrees (3 ?) above the dewpoint to avoid condensation.

It is not normal for paint to be thinned for brush or roller application although for spraying there maybe a specified viscosity to which the paint must be thinned.

What paint are you using?

I can access the link on my laptop (which I am using now) but not on my Hudl (which I was using earlier). Strange.
Looks like it only needs to be above 5deg (air and surface) so could have a go tomorrow.

May be Ok where you are. To get a 3C difference between air temp and dewpoint you need a RH below 80% .... looks promising from mid morning onwards.
