Hi , could someone please help, is a Johnson 2h/p petrol cock the same as a tohatsu and mariner petrol cock .thanks Kieron

You dont give the year or model number so difficult to answer your question with confidence but I think from about 1993 the 2 hp Johnsons were rebadged Tohatsus so I'd guess that the fuel taps are the same

Prior to that, at least 1985 and earlier, almost certainly not.

2 hp Johnson, 2 hp Mercury/ Mariner and 2.5 hp Nissan/ Tohatsu ... they all look the same in the parts catalogues

Hi....If thats the case you can add Suzuki dt2 and 2.2hp's to the list. They are the same as fitted to Tohatsu's and cousins.



Slight deviation from thread,,,,,,Did Tohatsu copy the Yamaha 2a and 2b outboards or was it the other way round?
