Johnson Bombardier 8hp outboard

I am selling one of these outboard motors with boat and trailer for a friend of mine, Model J8RSRC, Serial 07028932, Built 01/2004.

It has not been used for a few years, and I would like to run it on the water with some fresh fuel just to make sure it is all working. I have no owners’ manual and don’t know the 2 stroke mix required, I presume it is 2 stroke. If anyone can help with the fuel mix I would be grateful, but I would also like to be able to download an Owners Manual if that is possible, any ideas. Thanks George.

50:1 is the "standard" fuel mix. Some manufacturers did suggest 100:1 for a while but reverted to 50:1 after some problems (Commercial versions of the same motors were always 50:1)
It is a two stroke.

I am not so sure that you can. I cant find a source.

manuals for 1996 models and earlier can be bought from outboard books.com

manuals for later models should be available from your dealer.

Maybe there's a download service .. if you find it please post the details
