Can anybody give me the correct oil mix ratio for a 1984 Johnson 5 (BJ5DRESR). I believe there were 2 ratios quoted for either fast or low speed operation only. Thanks.

I run an 80's 6hp evinrude on 40:1 and have had no problems,but have been told i could go to 50:1 with no ill effects, but see no reason to change. Just make sure you use a good quality oil that is specifically for outboards.
