I am seriously considering the purchase of 33ft steel hulled John Pugh centre cockpit Moonwind I have had the boat surveyed satisfactorilly and am wondeing if any subscriber would like to comment on his/her experiences of this design for serious cruising

The only Pugh yacht I've seen is a 38 footer (??Windsong). Uncompromising blue-water go anywhere yacht, bit like early Roberts designs, looked pretty good to me. Saw it in Australia, think that is where they come from. Is the one you have found in the UK? You might do better enquiring on an Australian board.

Just confirmation, John Pugh is a well known and respected designer here in Australia, with many examples of his work all around the country, I will try to find his web site for you.
