I wouldn't have taken you as one to be intimidated, can you tell us more?

Regards and concerned

I'd rather not at the moment as it only fair to give the sales director of the company concerned a chance to fully investigate the facts, however I am absolutely convinced that no statement I have made is either factually incorrect or libellous. Best to give the guy a chance as I've forwarded a fairly full response to the allegations which were levelled at me.

Seems to me that if they had put as much energy into sorting out your boat, as they are in threatening you, you would be afloat and enjoying the water.

Also seems to me that they are further damaging their reputation in the boating community by threatening him with 21 gun lawyers rather than trying to ensure that a discontented customer is placated?

Makes no sense to me /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

It is quite clear that the shoddy level of service provided by them is well known in the business. I guess as long as there is a constant stream of new buyers unaware of their reputation boat show sales etc will be untouched. Quite simply modern communication is a potential threat to them as this information disseminates into the market. Perhaps they are unaware of the almost unanymity of sailors opinion regarding their service. I doubt this very much. It would certainly be a strong defence for anyone they threaten!

Customer Service

Seems a strange way to deliver it don't you think. Rather like British Airways prosecuting us when they lose our bags. Strange
Complainants ought to be viewed as the 'Canaries down the Coalmine' in that they are after all the ones who alert people to dangers. If the service provided is considered unsatisfactory then in business terms that is a danger and urgent action to remedy a fault or problem should be taken - seems a little short-sighted to get involved in litigation as it would probably deter an enormous amount of future customers from engaging with company's services.
