Well I know that bit, hence the comment about powering it from an inverter.

Does nobody actually read threads before replying to them?

I had read your post, but pressed the Post Reply button and then then realised I had failed to add the point about inverter size, which is a major reason why using a mains induction motor pump is a poor idea.
