Indeed Miss Holden said so on Styeve Wrights show on R2 last Friday.
Thought it was lovely, but a bit of a cheat as it is not an island ermm, sometimes due to lack of surrounding water.

I think you will find that like Australia , ( an island or a continent ? ), it has a young oceanic crust and probably only popped up just before those yobbo Vikings turned up.

Like Australia, it does seem to have unique creatures.

In the summer months, ancient white spindly legged creatures are often seen wandering the perimeter . They return to the sea again when they smell food.
