Jester Baltimore challenge 2013, Plymouth-Baltimore via Fastnet, is planned for June 16th, further details to appear on Jester website shortly. This replaces the Plymouth- Dingle event, which has been abandoned for a variety of reasons.Hope to see you all there,
Nick Bridges(Dolphin of Fowey)

Roger Fitzgerald of Ella Trout III is proposing for that a parallel start from Liverpool or North Wales is made on the same start, 16th June, heading to Baltimore Ireland also a distance of 250 nautical miles. His reasoning is that it saves the problem that people from the Mersey and or North Wales have getting to the start in Plymouth. More information is available on the Jester Yahoo Forum.

It would be nice if someone could come up with a start on the East Coast to Baltimore that was only 250 nautical miles. Still overall East Coasters are very successful in the various Jester Challengers probably from the rigorous testing of making it down the channel to the start.

Like the idea!!

Have been looking at the possibility of heading off to Helgoland. That looks a similar distance from the Essex ports.

Is this influencing your destination Peter?

I don't smoke, hardly ever drink  and certainly don't wear perfume! Just seemed a convenient distance :p
