I have to admit my ignorance, but I'd never heard of Pink Lady apples until this post! However, the logo on her boat certainly looks like the company logo, but why put a company logo on unless they are sponsoring bigtime?

Even so, I think she should be nominated for sportman/woman of the year.

What an achievement!!

To sail as she has done;

at her age; in the face of ageist, sexist prejudice in many quarters and after an unpromising start;

to overcome all that, and sail prudently and with evident good seamanship;

to write about it attractively and with a maturity and wisdom beyond her years;

and to shape up for what all decent-minded folk will hope is a safe and tumultuous homecoming welcome;

AND to obtain scores of extra column inches around a pointless debate about some theologies to do with records and logos ......
