No knocking - she has it all to prove. You can only wish fair winds and good luck to anyone sailing anywhere. It's not on my list of things to do but I admire people who walk the walk - even if they fail they have at least tried.

Sailing around the world non stop and unassisted.

Even with sponsorship I wonder how many on here would take this on.

I wish her a safe journey with fair winds and good seas.

I don't care, she's 12k miles away & I ain't going sailing this week, so I reckon I'm safe from getting rammed.

A huge amount of pressure on a very young girl .

She may need to find more courage to pack it in than to carry on if the going gets very tough.

Pleased she came through the near miss which hopefully has strengthened her. There seems no doubt, that in some, the need for adventure is very strong . She appears to be of this type, where so much of modern life is in thinking rather than doing. I suppose we cannot judge her because we are not her.

Personally, I think society needs people to do these kind of things. I think it helps us overcome our own fears when the going gets tough on our own humble attempts.
