We had the last week off and headed up river to Dorchester And Back. Thought I would post a few pictures for you.

Waiting at Boulters Lock - as you can see, decided to decorate the boat with bunting in the end.

Next day headed upto Dorchester.

Some new houses bulit since our last trip.

Then passed some familar boats moored up at Ashmount.

Spent the next 2 days moored up at Dorchester as we new the weather on Sunday was going to be bad, although Saturday night was nice and calm.

Then Headed back downstream to Goring.

Always liked the look of all these old boats.

Next Day headed of to Henley where we stayed for 2 days.

The 24 hour Tesco's moorings at Reading (with the same boats still there that we passed days earlier !!

Was nice and calm the first night at Henley - It wasn't the 2nd night, as was blowing a gale and was very noisy at night with the river bashing the boat.

Headed onto Hurley for the next night and saw this swimming in the river - anyone know what it is?

Next day headed for Cookham, but had a long wait at Marlow lock.

Didn't realise you were all there till the last minute, only really noticed boat One's boat as had seen and meet him before.

I believe I have a photo of your boat that I didn't post.

Now my bit of wet string internet connection has dried out a bit - I have consulted The Management, who is an authority on these things and she states:-

It's a Muscovy duck. They come in many shapes, sizes and colours from white to black as is this one. The identifying feature is the lump (particularly in the male) "on the nose" ( ! ).
