Jersey Advice Needed

With summer starting here in NZ I need some help on the rules for wearing of jerseys when sailing (it being a bit cooler here than in Oz).

Should one wear crew neck jerseys with the shirt collar tucked inside or flapping outside?

Also, is it ok to wear blue ones and if so do they have to be defaced?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Where I live we have a pub called Jack Straws Castle and I you go in there wearing a crew necked anything everyone knows what you're after....cherub!

What you need is a guernsey jersey

as you can see they are designed for visitors to the island as they only have space for one head

Yes all very helpful - still I suppose that I can be thankful that I haven't been given advice on milking jersey cows as well /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.

I think that they are all tetchy 'cos I mentioned the word s-u-m-m-e-r.

Well this weekend here in Auckland we certainly weren't wearing anything like jerseys..... more like swimsuits. Yeeeeha, summer has arrived!

Yes it was quite a nice weekend here too Rob.

Lets start a whole long string of summer stories (the Oz's and other S. Hemispherites can join in too) to make the winter a real burden for those in northern climes /forums/images/icons/smile.gif.

So, it was a nice weekend for supping beer and wine in the cockpit and a pleasant thought that it is only going to get better.
