Jefferson 15amp battery charger

This charger has 3 + terminals numbered 1, 2 and 3 and a common -. The previous owner has wired it from 1 + terminal to services battery only and I presume using the battery link over switch it would feed the other bank of batteries. One would assume that you could wire each bank with positives 1, 2 and 3 separately but I am concerned that there might be feedback across them. Has anyone had experience with this specific charger.

I don't have a Jefferson, but I do have a 20A Sterling. This has 3 contacts and a common negative; the instructions say to connect each +ve to a different battery bank and one should connect unused +ves together with a used (preferably on the bank with the most load.) Sterling have PDFs manuals on their website although I can't find the www just now.
